In a meeting held recently, the party leadership decided to form new separate committees for Karimnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, Peddapalli and Jagtial districts but later postponed their decision in view of the ensuing panchayat elections.

Following TPCC orders, senior leaders of the erstwhile Karimnagar district had prepared a list of members to be accommodated in the committees and handed over it to the party high command.

According to sources, Adluri Laxman Rao and Juvvadi Narsing Rao are in the race for Jagtial District Congress Committee (DCC) president post; Nagula Satyanarayana is vying for Rajanna Sircila DCC president post; and Katakam Satyanarayana is in race for united Karimnagar district DCC president post. But K Satyanarayana is expecting DCC president post of Karimnagar district instead of Sircilla.

For Peddapalli DCC president post, Congress senior leaders Erla Kumaraiah, Chintakuntla Vijayaramana Rao and Cheti Dharmaiah are in the race. But main competitions is between Erla Kumaraiah and Ch Vijayaramana Rao.
