Announce teacher recruitment results

Musheerabad: National president of BC Welfare Association R Krishnaiah has demanded the state government to release the final list of selected teacher candidates who appeared for teacher recruitment tests. He was speaking at a protest ‘Chalo Hyderabad’ at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Krishnaiah criticised the TS Public Service Commission (TSPSC) for the delay in the release of teacher recruitment results.

He said that the process, which was supposed to be completed in four months, has not been completed even after 18 months, causing a severe mental stress to unemployed youth who were selected for the posts. On the other hand, the students have been suffering due to the scarcity of teachers, he added. While 45,000 teacher posts are vacant in 25,000 government schools, notification was issued for only 8,786 posts, and to add it, the recruitment process has been delayed for 18 months, he said.

Quoting the Supreme Court ruling that recruitments should be done within one month, he accused the TSPSC of turning blind eye to the SC ruling. About 27,000 candidates have been selected for certificate verification out of 4-lakh candidates who appeared for the exam and the final list is yet to be declared.

Krishnaiah alleged the final list has been deliberately delayed on the guise of court cases. The cases can be cleared in a day if the government is sincere in its efforts, he alleged. Considering the future of the unemployed, the final selection list should be published at the earliest and appointment orders ahould be issued to the selected candidates, he demanded.
