New India Chaupal awareness meet: Govt scheme beneficiaries felicitated

Nagarkurnool: As part of awareness programme regarding the Central government schemes, the New India Chaupal organisers held meetings and spread the awareness about the various schemes launched by the Union government in the last five years.

While taking part in the valedictory in Nagarkurnool district on Friday, the New India Chaupal organisers said that they have conducted the awareness programme from February 26 to 28 and met with as many as 2,000 beneficiaries of various Central government schemes in Amrabad, Achampet and Kollapur mandals of Nagarkurnool district. They also felicitated some of the beneficiaries of the schemes at a programme in Nagarkurnool on Friday.

In fact, the New India Chaupal is being organised across the State in various towns and villages till the second week of March. During the event, few beneficiaries of various government schemes were felicitated. Videos of the beneficiaries of these schemes were also shown at the venue. Later, the beneficiaries were invited on the stage to share how they had benefited from these schemes.

Entertainment and engagement activities such as ‘Nukkad Natak’, performances by local artistes, a lucky draw and a drawing competition were also held during the event. The residents of each district at the venue were provided with brochures and information material on various government schemes.
