Large group of Girijans leaves for Tirumala

Visakhapatnam: As many as 650 tribals from Dumbriguda and Anantagiri mandals in the Agency area left for Tirupati here on Tuesday by Tirumala Express to have a darshan of Lord Venkateswara and to witness the greatness of the temple. Gurudatta Charitable Trust, Nivas and local MLAs Tynala Vijay Kumar and Dr Malla Vijay Prasad provided free travel, boarding and lodging for the tribal devotees. Peethadhipathi of Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Maha Swami, Vijay Kumar and Dr Vijay Prasad were among those who sent off the devotees at the local railway station.
