The celebrations have began with the day break and continued till late noon hours. The revellers who filled the streets dabbed each other in colours, shouting and cheering each other. Amusement lifted up by loud music beats marked the celebrations where the people of all the professional status joined festivities. Youth revellers moved past on two-wheelers while cheering the passers-by. Warangal MP Siricilla Rajaiah joined the celebrations at Warangal Press Club and danced to the beats of folk tunes. District public relations officer K Venkataramana, the Press Club president G Venkat, vice-president G Shyam Kumar, APUWJ district president P Siva Kumar, general secretary Anil Kumar senior journalists PV Madanmohan and others joined the celebrations. Colourful celebrations were held at District Police headquarters where the rural and urban superintendents of police G Pala Raju and A Venkateswar Rao, officer-on-special-duty Y Sai Sekhar, Armed Reserve police commandant Prabhakar and others joined the celebrations. The government officials like joint collector PS Pradyumna, TNGOs leader P Subba Rao and several officials too joined the people greeting and celebrating the event joyfully. Celebrations were also held at Aadharsha Physically Challenged Girls Home situated at Subedari under the aegis of Anurag Society where the society secretary Anitha Reddy and others shared the joy of the fest.
