Warangal: Sri Krishna Janmastami was celebrated on a grand note in Warangal on Wednesday. Devotees thronged temples and offered prayers. The celebrations were held on grand scale in various city schools with tiny-tots clad in Sri Krishna dresses while small girls dressed as Gopikas created festive mood. Notable among the schools, at SR High School (Patak Mohella) Warangal has celebrated the festival on the campus.

Dance performance by Padmapriya and others made the audience spellbound. Tiny tots presented poetry, shlokas and dances. Teachers Lalitha, Shailaja, Sukrutha who organized the programme were dressed as Devaki, Yashodha, Radha remained as the role models to the students. Principal Uma Raj said that festivals like this promote our customs and traditions and traditions are taken to the next generation of the people.

SR group of institutions Chairman Warada Reddy, Director Santosh Reddy, Chief Zonal Incharge Manoj Kumar, Zonal Incharge Venkata Ramana appreciated the students. Similar scenes were witnessed at St Peter’s Edu School at Vidyanagar in Hanamkonda. School secretary N Narayana Reddy, Principal Damodar and in-charge N Ajay Reddy and others organized the special shows by their students.
