The school principal Kavitha Kumari,  said on the occasion that children’s expressions are an indication of their creativity. The children had portrayed the importance of energy in a very creative manner and had also showed how the production of electricity from nuclear energy did not cause much harm to the environment. He also gave away prizes to the winning children.

Hyderabad: Drawing competition for children was organised in Model Mission High School, Secunderabad here as part of a nation-wide campaign to generate awareness about importance of energy and to dispel the misconceptions related to nuclear energy.
The topic of the drawing competition was “Nuclear Energy – Safe Energy” and it was organised on behalf of Nuclear Power Corporation of India, a Government of India undertaking.
150 plus students participated in the competition. Deepak, Class VIII won first position while Nithi, Class VII won the second position.

Judges also appreciated the work of the participating children and said this would increase awareness about science and energy. On this occasion, informative material that aims at creating awareness about nuclear energy was distributed among the winning children, teachers and principal of the school.
