Pro Vice –Chancellor Prof. N Siva Prasad released the notification at a press conference here on Wednesday. March 26 is the last date for receipt of applications. The two-hour GITAM Admission Test (GAT) online tests at different centres will be conducted from April 11 to 26. The results (ranks) will be announced on April 30.
The university has invited applications for eight BTech courses (Aerospace, Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, IT & Mechanical Engineering), BPharm, BArch and six MTech (CAD & Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science & Technology, Cyber Forensics & Information Security, Data Sciences, Power Systems & Automation and VLSI Design) programmes.
How to apply?
Applications, which are available throughout India at selected branches of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank, with instructions can be downloaded and be submitted online at www.gitam.edu or obtained from the office at Rudraram in Patancheru mandal of Sangareddy district.
GAT-2018 online test
GAT is an online test to select candidates to the UG and PG courses. A candidate can choose convenient test centre and date. Students have to attempt 100 questions (Mathematics 40, Physics & Chemistry 30 each).
A positive answer carries four marks, while a negative answer carries -1. The score will appear after the student finishes the test. Students can write the test at Rudraram campus, Saifabad, Nagole, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad and Warangal centres, besides 48 across the country.
Scholarships
Fee waiver of 100 percent is offered to top 10 rankers and 50 percent to top 11-100 rankers of GAT-2018. Merit-cum-means scholarships for BTech students, as also to all MTech., Aerospace Engineering, BPharm, MPharm & MArch students and teaching assistantship to MTech students are also available.
Eligibility criteria
A candidate should pass intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate marks (50 per cent for BArch/BPharm.) in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First class from a recognised Central / State Board and rank obtained in GAT-2018.
