CCPL Season 2 to begin in Hyderabad on Oct 17

Hyderabad: The second season of the Centre Court Pickleball League (CCPL) is set to begin in Hyderabad on October 17, with group-stage matches scheduled every Saturday until November 28. The playoffs will be held on December 5 and the finals on December 12. The venue for the league is yet to be confirmed.

The tournament schedule was announced following the completion of the CCPL Owners’ Weekend and Season 2 Player Auction, held in Phuket from September 3 to 6, 2026.

The league began in Hyderabad in 2025 as the Hyderabad Pickleball League (HPL), with eight franchise teams competing in its inaugural season. Defending champions Mavericks retained Sreekar Mothukuri, while runners-up All Stars retained Sameer Varma. Mikhil Tummalapalli and Vivek Reddy were also retained by their respective franchises. Karunesh Reddy, Abhaya Vemuri and Gopinath Reddy were picked before the auction.

The Chargers opted for a different strategy, entering the auction without retaining any player or making a pre-auction pick. The remaining squad places were decided at the Hyderabad Player Auction on September 5. The Phuket Owners’ Weekend also featured an owners’ tournament at Coconut Pickleball Centre in Bang Tao.
