Nagoya: India collected a couple of wins in the group stage before losing 0-2 to Indonesia in the men’s team quarterfinals of the Asian Games soft tennis competition here on Friday.

India’s wins came against Mongolia and Lao while they lost to Chinese Taipei in their group C engagements. The Indian team was represented by Jay Meena, Aryan Thakur, Yogesh Choudhary, Aniket Patil and Om Yadav.

In the second quarterfinal they lost to Indonesia, represented by Fernando Sanger, Tio Hutauruk, Muhammad Falevi, Rizky Laluyan and Bagus Pradewa.

Jay Meena and Yogesh Choudhary opened the proceedings for India in a men’s doubles match against Tio Hutauruk and Fernando Sanger. They managed to win just two games in the clash as Indonesia grabbed a 1-0 overall lead.
