TG triumphs at 4th National Sports Aerobics C’ship 2026
Hyderabad: Telangana emerged overall champions at the 4th National Sports Aerobics, Fitness Aerobics, Step Aerobics & Action Aerobics Championship 2026–27, held at G. Pulla Reddy School, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad.
Telangana topped the overall standings with 570 points, followed by Tamil Nadu (505) and Andhra Pradesh (480). Telangana athletes secured gold medals across several categories: Gnanvi, Samiksha, Dolly and group (U-8 Girls Sports Aerobics); Adriti Mishra and group (U-10 Girls Fitness Aerobics); Yshvik, Viraj, Arjun, Nandan and Bhargav (U-10 Boys Sports Aerobics); Shanaya Madaan and group (U-11 Girls Fitness Aerobics); Aaradhya Jain, Khushvi Malakar, Myra Ahuja and Deepta Badruka (U-14 Girls Fitness Aerobics); Arni Jain Lajawat (U-18 Girls Sports Aerobics); and Asfa Noor and Areeba Fatima in Step Aerobics Solo.
For the first time in the combined history of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the region hosted the national championship, which attracted 365 student participants from seven states—Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
At the closing ceremony, AISAFA General Secretary Dattatreya, Joint Secretary Padma, Vice Presidents Pannier Silven and Parvati, President Magan Lal Ji, General Secretary and AISAFA Joint Secretary Raajsingh, along with SAFAT members Nanhi Singh, Brahmananda Prasad, Mustafa Khan and A Raju, joined the Telangana team for the celebrations.
