300 children rescued under Operation Muskaan-V

As many as 300 children were rescued from child labour, begging and rag picking etc under Operation Muskaan-V between July 1 and 18 in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
Hyderabad: As many as 300 children were rescued from child labour, begging and rag picking etc under Operation Muskaan-V between July 1 and 18 in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
Among the 300 children, 267 were boys and 33 girls. According to sources, 282 children (251 boys and 31 girls) were sent to shelter homes and 18 children (16 boys and 2 girls) were handed over to their parents.
Out of the 300 rescued children, 169 (161 boys, 8 girls) belonged to other States. Police registered 137 cases on persons who are using children for labour.
The children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee and sent to various shelter homes and also to schools.
