Ailing persons receive CMRF aid worth 3.3 lakh in Wanaparthy

Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy distributed Chief Minister's Relief Fund cheques worth Rs 3.3 lakh to five persons in Wanaparthy district on Tuesday.

Earlier, two persons Ramesh and Padmavatamma of Rayagadda and Tirumala Nagar Colony respectively in Wanaparthy district received a sum of Rs 73,000 under CMRF towards paying their medical bills. While Ramesh received a cheque for Rs 13,000, Padmavatamma received an aid of Rs 60,000 under the scheme.

Similarly, in Pebbair mandal, another ailing person Venkatesh received a Letter of Consent (LOC) from Chief Minister's office that agreed to bear Rs 60,000 towards his healthcare costs. Two others Venkatswamy from Rampur village of Wanaparthy and Laxmi of Tripuraram village in Nalgonda district also got a Letter of Consent from the Chief Minister's office to bear an amount of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh respectively against the treatment expenses.

The Agriculture Minister who was earlier told about the poor health condition of the five persons had submitted a plea urging the Chief Minister to provide financial aid to support them.

"Our Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been giving highest priority to healthcare. For improving healthcare facilities in the existing government hospitals, many initiatives have been taken and even a large number of posts of doctors and other healthcare staff have also been filled in the last five years. This apart, for those who do not have any kind of financial support to meet their healthcare expenses, the CM is generously releasing funds under CMRF scheme and extending a helping hand in the need of the hour," said the Agriculture Minister while handing over the cheques to the beneficiaries.
