Nagarkurnool: With the State and Central governments taking stringent initiatives to ensure curbing of further spread of deadly coronavirus, the Nagarkurnool district administration has decided to close down all the famous tourists spots and pilgrimage places in the district on Sunday. According to District Collector E Sridhar, the leading tourists and pilgrim spots in Achampet constituency like Srisailam temple, Maddi Madugu and Mallela Theertham in the deep Nallamalla forest are expected to stay shut. "With the State and Central governments have given the call for 'Janata Curfew' for one day, we have directed the concerned endowments authorities to close down all the religious and tourist spots located in the Nallamalla region," informed the District Collector.

During the summer season there is a huge flow of tourists to the famous places in the Nallamalla forest region. The Farahabad viewpoints, Octopus region deep in the Nallamalla forest are some of the regions which attract tourists. These tourist spots will completely remain closed on Sunday, he added.
