Mahabubnagar: A fatal road accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday on National Highway 44 near Pebbair in Wanaparthy district, claiming the life of a bus cleaner and leaving three others seriously injured.

According to police reports, a private travel bus belonging to Jagan Travels was on its way from Chittoor to Hyderabad when the incident took place. At around dawn, the speeding bus collided with a lorry that was moving ahead of it on the highway. The impact of the collision was severe, causing significant damage to the front portion

of the bus. The cleaner of the bus, identified as Laddu, died on the spot due to the force of the collision. The bus driver and two passengers suffered grievous injuries in the crash. Locals who witnessed the incident immediately informed emergency services, and all the injured were rushed to the Wanaparthy Area Hospital for medical treatment.

Traffic on the busy NH-44 route was disrupted for some time due to the accident, but was later cleared by the local police, who also launched an investigation into the cause of the mishap. Preliminary findings suggest that high speed and possible driver fatigue may have contributed to the accident.

Authorities have urged drivers to follow safety protocols strictly to prevent such tragedies.
