The former Union Minister extends support to the Corporation employees’ strike

Khammam: Former Union Minister G Renuka Chowdhury on Wednesday expressed her solidarity to the ongoing RTC strike in Khammam. As part of her visit to Khammam town, she met the JAC leaders and RTC workers at the RTC bus stand and took part in the protest along with them.

Speaking on the occasion, she decried the TRS government policies and stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was ruling like a dictator. Later, she paid tributes to the deceased driver, Srinivas Reddy.

Stating the Chief Minister and Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar did not take any steps to placate the RTC employees, she said people have been facing untold hardships due to the strike for the last 12 days.

Demanding the State government to address the issues of RTC workers immediately, the Congress leader once again reiterated her party support to the strike, and appealed to the people to extend their support to State bandh on October 19.

District secretary of CPM Nunna Nageswara Rao, Pothineni Sudharshan, CPI district secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao, Congress party leaders Radha Kishore, Deepak Chowdary and Durga Prasad and others also joined the RTC workers in their protest.
