Cold wave conditions to get intensified in parts of Telangana with the sudden rain on Wednesday night. People shivered through the chilly weather conditions in the morning as most parts of the state remained in the firm grip of severe cold conditions due to the rain which continued to lash until the early hours on Thursday.
Areas like Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Yadadri Bhongir, Jogulamba Gadwal, Medchal Malkajgiri received light to moderate rainfall on Wednesday night.
The Indian Meteorological Department, Hyderabad has also issued the cold wave alert for the next three days due to the trough formed at a distance of 0.9 kilometre from Komarin region to North Tamil Nadu and due to the easterly winds.
On the other hand, districts like Adilabad, Kamareddy recorded least temperature on Wednesday. Adilabad recorded a minimum temperature of 14-degree celsius followed by 15 degree Celsius in Kamareddy. Sangareddy, Nirmal, Komarambheem, Vikarabad, Nizamabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla were also among the districts that recorded lowest temperature.
