The five-day celebrations of ‘Sri Datta Jayanthi’ will commence from Monday, here at Bardhipur Sri Dattagiri Maharaj Ashram. Devotees from both Telugu states, Karnataka and Maharashtra visit the ashram to take part in the event.

The would-be seer Dr Siddeshwar Swamy has been overseeing the arrangements like drinking water, queue lines etc. As many as 21 'yagna gundas' are arranged for homas.
Seer Avadhuta Maharaj said all arrangements are in place for the convenience of the devotees. RTC is arranging special buses for the event. Village sarpanch Shivalakshmi Krishna said a health camp was also being arranged and security has been beefed up.
