Everyone should get work under NREGS: Adilabad Collector D Divya
District Collector D Divya told the villagers to get 100 days work under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), while addressing Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) gram sabha at Lokari village in Adilabad Rural mandal on Friday.
Adilabad: District Collector D Divya told the villagers to get 100 days work under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS), while addressing Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) gram sabha at Lokari village in Adilabad Rural mandal on Friday.
The Collector explained the villagers that it is their right as per law to get 100 days works under NREGS. The officials concerned must provide work to any villager, if he/she want to get work under NREGS, within 15 days or in a month.
Else the officer must pay the Employment Guarantee Scheme beneficiary and this is the rule position, she added. Divya explained the villagers that the officials will provide work to them under labour wages and material component works, like construction of gram panchayat buildings, Anganwadi centres buildings, graveyard, cement and concrete roads and school buildings.
District Rural Development Officer, village sarpanch, MPTC, ZPTC and others were present.
