Farmers warned against using electric fences

Vikarabad: The Superintendent of Police, M Narayana said that farmers should not keep electric fences around their agriculture fields. He warned that severe action would be taken if any wild animal or humans were injured due to electric fences.

It is a common practice that farmers use electric fence to protect their crops from wild boars and other animals. Several incidents of deaths of humans and wild animals were reported due to electric fences.
