Hanamkonda: Those, who treat women as a subject of entertainment, be called as 'Repasura' and they should be hacked or hanged, this is people's opinion, CS Rangarajan, Chilkur Balaji temple hereditary archaka and trusty, said.

He was in the city to console the parents of the nine-month-old infant, Srihitha, who was molested and killed by a pervert.

Speaking to press persons here on Wednesday, he said that Srihitha was mauled and killed in the hands of a demon.

Henceforth, such persons should be labelled as Repasura. "We need a society, where every citizen should emulate Jatayu, who put up a valiant fight against to save Sita maata.

We may have umpteen number of legislations for the safety of women, but they alone cannot come to rescue the women from perverts," he said, emphasising the need for counselling the youth.

The Chilkur Balaji temple has been organising programmes like Kanya Vandanam in which young girls' feet were smeared with turmeric in reverence and Raksha Bandhan to create a sense of sisterly feeling among the boys,Rangarajan said.

Later, Rangarajan offered prayers at Bhadrakali shrine, where he was accorded with temple honours by the priests and authorities.
