SALIENT FEATURES OF APP
Margadarshak
On an online request through the She Safe App, a Margadarshak would come to the spot. There are 500 Margadarshaks, mostly IT employees, who have volunteered for women safety. They are sent to an NGO to get hands-on training in counselling women in distress or with any need. When a woman is in trouble, she could click on the Margadarshak icon and touch base with the nearest Margadarshak.
Safe Stay
The app comes handy for those seeking a stay in hostel. There is a list of hostels in alphabetical order in Cyberabad area including Raidurgam, Madhapur and Gachibowli. There are close to 200 hostels in this area. There are several women not just from other towns in Telangana but from other cities who land in Hyderabad and who are in search of a place.
More Benefits
The app is a source to know the authenticity of the place and one can also read reviews of hostels before zeroing down. It is a preventive mechanism. There are also animation graphics for self-defence. A woman can practise at leisure apart from watching videos and links to content on YouTube.
Integrated with Hawk Eye
There is an SOS button in the app which invokes HawkEye and triggers call to police helpline '100'. The authorities would identity where the person is through GPS. There is an API in Hawk Eye that enables any application to get features of SOS in Hawk.
Radiant Hyderabad
One can submit a request by adding a photograph to provide streetlights in an area. Women can take pictures and send. The app takes the location automatically and the authorities would work on priority basis in conjunction with GHMC to fix lights.
Be Aware
One can know the existing laws and policies on women safety. One becomes vigilant and become alert in any point in time to safeguard from potential threats. We call it awareness quotient.

There is a list of 15 police helpline numbers including Margadarshak Helpline, Bharosa Centre, She Teams, Sakhi Centre and few police stations in IT corridor.

"Women hold only one percent of world's property. This is the time for women to take challenges as opportunities. Women need to be supported and encouraged to shine brighter," said Dr Tessy Thomas, Director General of Aeronautical Systems, DRDO. "SCSC is a unique organisation unlike in any other cities. The city boasts of over six lakh CCTV surveillance TVs installed which act as an effective surveillance mechanism. It is almost 52% of total CCTVs in the country. It is a tall order and a unique distinction the city holds," said VC Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad and Chairman of SCSC. Bharani Aroll, the vice-chairman of SCSC, explained about the app.
