Hyderabad: After the government accorded permission to IT firms for a 33 per cent workforce to get back to offices, many of the firms re-opened today. However, the companies decided only to permit 10-15 per cent of the employees for the first week and then increase it gradually.
All the roads leading to Hitec City and Gachibowli witnessed heavy traffic in the morning. The office goers are being asked to wear face masks and use sanitizers. "Action will be taken against those for not taking the necessary precautions," the officials said.
Meanwhile, the companies were issued guidelines to ensure the employees maintaining physical distance in office, timings for login and log out, restricted movement during curfew hours, no operation of the cafeteria and other employee gathering spots.
Around 10 lakh workforce will be getting back to the office following the guidelines and the remaining still working from home. On the other hand, companies in the red zone are provided certain relaxations.
