Chikadpally: The recent statement of Telangana Chief Minister KCR that Can't provide employment for everyone in Telangana made hundreds of civil service aspirants stage a hunger strike on Thursday. "We lost faith in Telangana government. We strongly demand for notification calendar of Telangana state," said protestors at the City Library in Chikadpally on Thursday.

"The number of government job aspirants rose three times in the past three years and the number of woman government job aspirants has more than doubled to over 10 lakh in 2019 from 3.5 lakh in February 2016. India has 45% of unemployment rate, I request KCR to not make it happen in Telangana and we strongly demand employment which is an unfulfilled promise of TS CM KCR," said N Srinu, a civil service aspirant from Nalgonda.

"Whole India follows a rule, Telangana follows another rule. UPSC examinations which are being handled by central government of India are properly held and notifications are properly posted on a particular month and other states have their own calendar for employment notifications, whereas in Telangana state, Group 1 notification was given in 2011, Group 2 examinations in 2015 but the selected candidates are not posted. Group 3 final notification was released in 2008. Overall, it has been more than 8 years we have been waiting for the employment notifications from the Telangana government, as the situation has come to an extent that. KCR states he could not provide employment for everyone, we want to know what about the lakhs of vacancies in different sectors of Telangana," said D Mahesh Goud, a student union leader.

"The progress in Telangana is excellent but unemployment youth in Telnagana looking for job notifications since 8 years, I am a graduate and I am looking for police job notifications kindly give us as soon as possible says," Sai, Civil service aspirant from Mahbubnagar.

" asks the unemployed youth from different states who are protesting at City Library for the employment opportunities in Telangana.
