Khammam: Training programme for election officials begins
District Collector RV Karnan inaugurated the election training programme at Bhakta Ramdasu Kalakshetram in Khammam on Monday.
Khammam: District Collector RV Karnan inaugurated the election training programme at Bhakta Ramdasu Kalakshetram in Khammam on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector informed elections would be conducted to the municipalities of Wyra, Sathupally and Madhira in the district on January 22. He said every officer should verify the ballet papers and election materials and also ballet boxes before the polling.
He also explained the election process during the programme. Training Nodal Officer K Sriram, master trainer Nagi Reddy and presiding officers also attended the meeting. Later, Karnan has attended a video conference conducted by the State Election Commissioner V Nagireddy on Sunday.
During the time, the Collector explained the arrangements made for the upcoming municipal polls to be conducted in the municipalities of Sathpally, Wyra and Madhira in the district.
He informed that the first phase of training programme was completed in the district. He also explained about the security measurements taken for the polls. District Revenue Officer Sireesha and Wyra, Sathupally, and Madhira municipal commissioners also attended the programme.
