Maid, husband arrested for woman’s murder
Kamareddy: Kamareddy police have cracked the murder case of Chitmal Anasuya, an elderly woman found dead at her home in Mushrif Bagh on September 29.
District SP Rajesh Chandra said domestic help Bosu Rajitha and her husband, BosuNarsing, were arrested on Monday for allegedly murdering Anasuya and stealing her gold ornaments.
According to police, the couple planned the robbery and strangled Anasuya with a towel when she was alone at home.
They allegedly cut the power supply, overpowered her and fled with her mangalsutra chain, two rings and ear ornaments.
Police seized eight tolas of gold ornaments and a mobile phone from the accused. Investigators reportedly tracked the suspects using evidence from the crime scene and technical information before detaining them near Ganj School.
The SP also said Rajitha was allegedly involved in an earlier gold theft in Kamareddy in September 2023. The accused will be produced before the court for remand.
