SP launches CCC centre
Kothagudem: Superintendent of Police Rohit Raju inaugurated a district Command and Control Centre (CCC) at Chunchupalli Police Station here on Monday.
The centre has been integrated with 467 CCTV cameras installed in various police station jurisdictions and community locations across the district, enabling police personnel to monitor localities more effectively and respond swiftly to emerging situations.
During his visit to Chunchupalli Police Station, the SP emphasised the need to make effective use of modern technology to maintain law and order, prevent and detect crimes, and improve the efficiency of investigations.
The integration of CCTV cameras with the central monitoring facility is expected to help police continuously monitor local conditions, identify suspicious activities, strengthen crime prevention measures and respond promptly to emergencies.
Rohit Raju directed the concerned officials to identify locations requiring enhanced surveillance and install additional CCTV cameras wherever necessary, ensuring that they are connected to the Command and Control Centre.
He stressed that modern technological systems should be utilised effectively to provide better police services to the public and enhance the role of CCTV surveillance in crime prevention and detection. As part of an environmental protection initiative, the SP also participated in a plantation programme along with police personnel.
