“The TRS government is showing Kaleshwaram project as the solution for whatever problem that arises in the State,” stated Manthani MLA D Sridhar Babu.

Manthani: "The TRS government is showing Kaleshwaram project as the solution for whatever problem that arises in the State," stated Manthani MLA D Sridhar Babu. Along with the farmers, he staged a dharna at Ambedkar Chowrasta in Manthani town of Peddapalli district on Friday, demanding the government fulfilment of all the promises it made to the farming sector before the elections.

Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu alleged that the TRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao before going to the elections promised the farmers of waiving off farm loans and issuing of new pattadar passbooks. But after coming to power, KCR forgot all those promises and now showing Kaleshwaram project as a solution to all the problems.

He said that all the people across the State are suffering from viral fevers. The attendance in colleges is just 40 percent as most of the students fell ill with viral fevers. This clearly shows the condition in the State, he pointed out.

The government-sanctioned money under Rytu Bandhu scheme only to a few farmers. "If anyone complains about their problems, or people of SC and ST communities request to sanction loans, or farmers demands waiver of crop loans, the TRS government is showing the one and only solution – Kaleshwaram Project," Manthani MLA Sridhar Babu ridiculed. He demanded the government waiving off of crop loans, sanctioning of Rythu Bandhu to all farmers and issuance of new pattadar passbooks immediately to the farmers. Otherwise the Congress will intensify its agitation to teach the TRS government a fitting lesson in the coming days, the MLA warned.

Kisan Congress State coordinator Shashibushan, leaders T Thirupathi Yadav, K Raja Babu, G Aruna, MPPs Malwar Rao, Ratna Subhadra and K Buchhakka, Ch Sadanandam, T Chandraiah, S Rajesh, Azeem Khan, Sathyam, Praveen, Narsinga Rao, Surendar Reddy, Bhagya Lakshmi and Suguna were present along with others.
