MP Kavya calls for comprehensive development of Jangaon

Jangaon: Warangal MP and DISHA Committee Chairperson Kadiyam Kavya directed officials to prioritise agriculture and strengthen education and healthcare sectors in Jangaon district.

Addressing the DISHA Committee meeting at the Integrated Collectorate on Tuesday, Kavya reviewed the implementation of Central and State government development and welfare schemes. She instructed officials to ensure that benefits reach every eligible beneficiary transparently and without delay.

The MP stressed the need to curb Paraquat use, promote farm mechanisation, encourage oil palm cultivation and improve soil health by reducing excessive chemical inputs. In education, she called for better infrastructure in government schools, early identification of mental health issues among children and timely detection of anaemia at Anganwadi and pre-primary levels.

Kavya also directed officials to intensify action against narcotic substances and install CCTV cameras in schools and villages. She reviewed road and drainage issues along NH-163 and urged early completion of STP works to prevent sewage entering Nellutla Lake.

MLA Kadiyam Srihari, Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, DCP Raj Mahendra Naik and officials attended the event.
