Nizamabad: Indian Medical Association (IMA) State vice-president Dr BN Rao called upon the private doctors to do free medical service to the poor for at least one hour per day as seasonal diseases are rampant. Speaking at a meeting here on Thursday, Rao stressed that not all viral fevers are dengue and asked the people not to worry when they get fever.

He said if the IMA and private hospitals dedicate a few hours to provide free medical service as a social responsibility, it would benefit poor people. Stating that the burden on government hospital will also be reduced, he urged the IMA to come forward at this time of need to ensure that the poor are treated at the right time.

Dr Rao asked the people to keep their surroundings clean to prevent mosquitoes. He suggested them to wear clothes that will cover the entire body and to wear shoes to prevent from mosquito bites.
