Karimnagar: All India Student Federation (AISF) State general secretary Shiva Ramakrishna appealed the students to oppose the private university bill, which was introduced by the State government for dissolving the government universities present across the State.

Speaking at a meeting held under the leadership of Machha Ramesh at Baddam Yellareddy Bhavan here on Tuesday, Shiva Ramakrishna alleged that the TRS is deceiving the people with fake promises and mesmerising words and is negligent in solving the issues of students.

Instead of strengthening government educational sector, the TRS government handed over the same to private, corporate and multinational companies, he criticised.

KG to PG free education has remained on papers only. Majority of lecturer and teacher posts in schools and colleges are vacant.

There are no basic facilities in many schools and colleges, but the government is boasting that it is giving standard and quality education to the students, he alleged.

The BJP government at the Centre by bringing reforms in the educational sector is trying to inject religious feelings and inviting foreign universities, Shiva Rramakrishna stated.

The representatives of various students organisations must fight united to solve the issues pertaining to students and to teach the ruling party a fitting lesson, he appealed.

AISF former national president T Srinivas, union members K Srujan Kumar, B Mahendar, P Kedari, D Kalyan, Srinivas, Prashanth, Venkatesh, Sai Kiran, Abrish, Sandeep and Raju were present along with others.
