Paddy procurement centres to be geo-tagged
Nagarkurnool: District Collector Hemanta Keshav Patil directed officials to arrange for Kharif paddy procurement and ensure that farmers face no inconvenience. He reviewed procurement arrangements with officials at the Collectorate on Tuesday and instructed them to prepare 183 procurement centres across 20 mandals. The Collector directed officials to geo-tag every procurement centre and register the details on the PCSAP portal.
He also instructed them to ensure 16 basic facilities, including weighing machines, moisture meters, tarpaulins and drinking water, and upload photographs and details on the portal. Officials were directed to ensure payment of the government-announced MSP to farmers and make advance arrangements for paddy transportation and storage.
The Collector also called for regular monitoring of vehicle movement, coordination among departments and timely resolution of field-level issues.
