Panchayat Raj Department to roll out People's Plan Campaign on Oct 2
With a view to involve public representatives of villages in the development of rural areas, People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) would be launched on October 2 in Gram Panchayats of the State under the aegis of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development departments.
Hyderabad: With a view to involve public representatives of villages in the development of rural areas, People's Plan Campaign (PPC) would be launched on October 2 in Gram Panchayats of the State under the aegis of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development departments.
The campaign would involve all other departments of the State government along with the PR and RD departments. The resources of all the government departments would be converged through the PPC.
Instructions have been given to the officials of the Panchayat Raj department to make arrangements for the launch. The Panchayat Raj department requested other departments of the State to provide staff for the campaign.
The officials of PR department feel that the campaign would be made a success through meticulous planning, training, energetic inputs and strong backing of other departments.
The objective of the PPC is to reduce poverty, human development, social development with special emphasis on SC and ST, persons with disabilities, women and vulnerable groups, economic development, ecological development, public service delivery, and costless development.
The major strategy in the PPC is to take up planned works through convergence of State and Central government schemes.
