Proactive policing is the best policing: Mancherial DCP Uday Kumar
Deputy Commissioner of Police Uday Kumar Reddy paid a surprise visit to CCC Naspur police station on Tuesday. He inquired about the services provided to the people, verified police station records and inspected the station surroundings.

The DCP shooted several questions to the staff and receptionist to know their work and instructed the staff to issue receipt compulsorily to every petitioner, be polite with the petitioners, be empathetic to their problems and to give confidence that justice will be done to them.
DCP Uday Kumar Reddy inspected the police station surroundings and instructed the staff to keep the police station and surroundings clean and neat. The staff was told to wear nice and neat uniform while on duty and warned that disciplinary action will be taken if they neglect their duty. The DCP also told the staff to keep an eye on illegal activities like smuggling and illegal transportation. Stating that proactive policing is the best way of preventing incidents, he ordered the officials to increase patrolling in villages without disturbing common people and to keep an eye on old criminals. Special attention should be given to the movements of criminal gangs.
The DCP warned that serious action will be taken on those, who were registered as history sheeters if they commit any crime or resort to any anti-social work. Police will always keep an eye on history sheeters if they commit any settlement, encroach lands, commit riots during elections and sexually assault women and serious action will be taken as per law. If they habituated to a peaceful life, then the history sheet will be removed on the orders of higher authorities. DCP Uday Kumar Reddy enquired about the life style of history sheeters and their address.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Lakshminarayana, Rural Inspector Y Krishna Kumar, sub-inspector Pramod and others were present.
