PVNR remembered on 98th birth anniversary

Hyderabad: Rich tributes were paid to former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao on his 98th birth anniversary on Friday.
Prominent leaders of different political parties offered floral tributes to the late Prime Minister at PV Gnana Bhoomi here on Friday. Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, BC Commission Chairman B.S. Ramulu, Telangana BJP President Dr. K. Lakshman, Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao, ex-MLA Marri Shashidhar Reddy, Advisor to TS Govt Dr. K.V. Ramanachary and other senior officials and other eminent personalities visited the PV Gnana Bhoomi to pay tributes.
Speaking on the occasion, Talasani described Narasimha Rao as an immensely talented personality who had vast knowledge and command over several languages. He said India had emerged as an economic super power due to the reforms introduced by Narasimha Rao Government. He demanded that the Central Government confer Bharat Ratna to Narasimha Rao.
Talasani also announced that the Telangana Government would organise birth centenary celebrations of PV Narasimha Rao in 2021 at a grand scale.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) also organised Narasimha Rao's birth anniversary celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan.
