Rajgopal Reddy’s popularity reignites Cabinet rejig buzz

Nakrekal (Nalgonda): Munugode MLA KomatireddyRajgopal Reddy emerged as a major crowd-puller at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s public meeting in Nakrekal on Saturday, grabbing considerable attention amid growing speculation over a possible Cabinet reshuffle.

While Revanth Reddy remained the centre of attraction, Rajgopal appeared to strike a chord with the gathering. When the CM and Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy mentioned the names of dignitaries seated on the dais, the crowd erupted in slogans and waved Congress flags as Rajgopal Reddy’s name was announced.

Acknowledging the enthusiastic response, Rajgopal greeted the gathering with a namaskar and waved to the crowd in appreciation. Notably, Rajgopal entered Nakrekal town with a huge convoy from Vivera Hotel at Narketpally, and people lined both sides of the road to welcome him. Pro-Rajgopal slogans echoed through the town during his rally, adding to the political buzz surrounding his visit.

The Munugudu MLA joined with CM and other Congress representatives at the programme connected with the 100-bed Government Hospital in Nakrekal. On the public meeting dais, Rajgopal felicitated the Chief Minister with a shawl and presented him with a bouquet.

The enthusiastic reception has inevitably added fuel to speculation over Rajgopal Reddy’s long-standing aspiration for a ministerial berth. With talk of a Cabinet rejig doing the rounds, his strong show of public support at Nakrekal has given his supporters fresh reason for optimism.
