Rangareddy: District Collector Amoy Kumar along with Additional Collector Pratik Jain held a video conference with municipal commissioners and panchayat officials on prevention of spread of Coronavirus on Friday. Amoy Kumar asked the officials to gather without fail details about the people who arrived in the municipalities or villages from abroad.
He also directed them officials to collect details like where they moved, whether they showed any suspected symptoms. "Find out if there are any, and take appropriate precautions by visiting the local Panchayat Secretary or ANM and Panchayat Officer. If Corona symptoms, such as severe fever, coughing and shortness of breath are found, take them to isolation centres by calling 104," he said.
The Collector asked the officials to also meet religious heads with the help of local police officials, seeking closure of prayer halls and postponing of festivities. He also ordered steps including chlorination etc. at the places like markets.
DPO Padmaja Rani, DM&HO Swarajya Laxmi, PDDRDA Prashant Kumar district officials and others were present.
