RTC JAC leaders Requests Governor to intervene
Hyderabad: TSRTC JAC on Monday urged the Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to intervene in the TSRTC issue and direct the government to settle all the issues including merger of Corporation with government. The TSRTC JAC leaders led by E Ashwadhama Reddy met Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and informed about the ongoing strike in the Corporation. The JAC leader said that workers were on strike since October 5 with their legitimate demands. They informed the governor that the government did not honour the wage agreement entered on April 1, 2017 was not implemented so far. Though considerable time was elapsed, either the RTC management or the Telangana government did not initiate any action in regard to pay revision, said the JAC leaders. The leaders also pointed out that the government appointed expert committee with nine experts on July 25, 2018. The committee report is ready for submission but the government is not interested to take the report, claimed the union leaders. They also brought to the notice of the Governor about the dues payable to the corporation. The union leaders said that several employees committed suicides because of the government’s announcement of self-dismissal by the workers. The workers alleged that the management has stopped the medical services to the staff. They wanted the Governor to intervene and direct the government to settle the issues.
