Satish slams police action against BRS women MLAs
Husnabad: Former Husnabad MLA Voditala Satish Kumar on Monday led a BRS protest at Ambedkar Chowrastha, condemning the alleged police action against BRS women legislators at the Telangana Assembly. A large number of women, elected and former public representatives, party leaders, activists and youth participated in the protest and subsequent rally.
Satish Kumar alleged that preventing BRS MLAs and MLCs from entering the Assembly while they sought to raise public issues was an attack on democratic rights. He condemned the alleged treatment of former minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and MLA Sunitha Lakshma Reddy. He said the BRS had conducted week-long protests from September 2 to 8 on farmers, irrigation, power, women, youth, students and other issues.
He warned that the party would intensify its agitation if the government failed to address public grievances.
