Telangana High Court dismisses DSC-2008 recruitment petitions
The Telangana High Court has dismissed three petitions challenging changes to the DSC-2008 recruitment process, which began when Andhra Pradesh was undivided.
The petitions were filed by DSC and B.Ed. candidates over the government’s amendment of G.O. No. 28. Some petitioners sought an order requiring the selection process to be completed in line with the original notification, issued in December 2008.
B.Ed. candidates argued that the government should not have issued G.O. No. 28 and added a provision to Rule 7 after the original notification had been released.
After a lengthy hearing, the court dismissed all three writ petitions. It said it could not issue orders concerning the amendment because the respective state governments had conducted recruitment and issued appointment postings after Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were divided.
