Telangana is achieving progress with the efforts put forward by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, said governor Tamilisai Sounderarajan speaking on the first day of the budget session of the assembly.

"The schemes launched by the chief minister in the last six years are yielding good results and with a short span of time, the state has secured top position in all the sectors. Not only other states, but NITI Aayog also lauded the schemes of Telangana," said the governor.
"The state has seen the power shortages and farmers suicide when it formed, but now the government has overcome it and working for the welfare of the farmers. The farmers were provided seeds, fertilizers at the right time along with Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema which helped to overcome all the issues," she added.
With the perfect action plan, the government is achieving progress. The state has launched the Aasara pension scheme so as to provide financial assistance to the elderly, physically challenged, widowed women in the state. Apart from it, there were also several schemes such as Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, KCR Kit, Mission Bhagiratha launched by the chief minister.
The governor also explained how the construction of new irrigation projects are changing the state's economy and helping farmers to continue farming as a profitable profession after introducing the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema schemes.
