Releasing a book titled ‘Hotha Padmini Devi Kathalu’ at AKC College here, everyone gets reminded of Mahabharata when there is a mention of the great poet Nannaya Bhattaraka and Maha Bhagavatham with the name of Bammera Pothana, who had penned the epics thousands of years ago.
Padmini Devi authored many stories during the 1980s that were received well, causing readers to think she had written them down after a detailed study. Her writing style exhibited her expertise in the language.
Dr Aripirala Narayana Rao of Telugu Velugu said Padmini Devi packed vast knowledge in short stories, garnering active readership even today. The organisers felicitated Hotha Padmini Devi and Surya Telugu daily editor VSS Krishna Kumar welcomed the gathering. Dr PS Ravi Kumar, B Venkateswarlu, AS Sundar, Hotha Vissu, Dr G Kalyan Sarma, PG Krishna, Jora Sarma, VM Raju and many others were present.
