Rajamahendravaram: In a touching gesture, Kesavabhatla Charitable Trust (KCT) distributed woolen blankets and snacks to the inmates of Gowthami Jeeva Karunaya Sangham (GJKS), as part of its social service activities.

The trust Chairman, Kesavabhatla Srinivasa Rao said GJKS was set up prior to the country’s Independence and has been serving the hapless since then. “The trust had been in the forefront to serve the needy in any manner and is continuing the same tradition from its inception,” he said.

Plans were afoot to continue the service on a massive scale in the near future. “KCT is ready to respond to any social service activity,” he said.

He appealed to the people to come forward to help the hapless folk in the society.
Earlier, the trust conducted medical programmes and distributed tri-cycles, clothes, spectacles etc as part of its philanthropy.

Railway employee S Chandra Mowli assured to participate in the future programmes of the trust and extended his help to the programmes. He complimented the KCT chief, KS Rao for organising such programmes every year and wished that he continued the same. E Rammohan, NJ Chandran and many others were present at the charity event.
