Srikakulam: Amit Barhdar assumed charge as Srikakulam District Superintendent of Police on Monday at the district police office (DPO) here.
After assuming charge, Additional SPs P Soma Sekhar and K Srinivasa Rao met him and briefed the situation in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the SP explained that his top priority is to ensure law and order in the district and also educate people on the precautions to be taken to contain the spread of Covid-19.
Later, the SP reviewed the situation held review meeting with police officers at Sub-Division and Circle level.
