The director of Education Vadrevu Chinaveerabhadrudu has issued RC No.13021 to give promotions to teachers working in the Department of Education by the Dussehra festival. The Department of Education has in the past implemented monthly promotions for teachers. However, the process was halted for some time due to corona conditions. Meanwhile, the teachers' unions have been urging the chief secretary and directors of education to restore it.
In this context, the RJD and DEO should take appropriate steps to prepare seniority lists of teachers and implement promotions from SGT cadre to School Assistant, School Assistant to equivalent cadre, and High School HM, the Education Ministry said in a recent directive.
The process of these promotions was ordered to be completed by Dussehra. The respective teachers' unions were elated over the orders. AP SC, ST Teachers Association President Samala Simhachalam thanked the government.
