AP Cabinet to meet tomorrow , to discuss on BC reservations
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is scheduled to hold a special meeting at 11am on Saturday at the Secretariat to discuss Backward Classes (BC) reservations.
The meeting will focus on the Rajiv Ranjan Mishra Commission after the Supreme Court struck down earlier government orders (GOs) concerning BC reservations. The Cabinet is expected to consider the Commission’s report and decide on reservations based on its recommendations and population data.
The government is understood to be planning to issue new GOs immediately after the Cabinet’s decision and withdraw the existing orders on BC reservations.
The Secretariat has instructed all ministers to attend the meeting.
