As reviewed earlier on the recruitment of jobs in the state, the Andhra Pradesh government has proposed to recruit a total of 15 thousand posts in the Police, Fire, Prisons and Special Defense Force (SPF).

As reviewed earlier on the recruitment of jobs in the state, the Andhra Pradesh government has proposed to recruit a total of 15 thousand posts in the Police, Fire, Prisons and Special Defense Force (SPF). There are about 11,000 posts in the Civil, APSP and AR sections of the Police Department relating to SI, RSI and Constable cadre.

The Fire Department has over 4000 posts vacant comprising station fire officer, firemen, jails, deputy jailer, warden and constable in the SPF. The department-wise fields have been reported by the relevant authorities to the government. They will be recruited in a step-by-step manner in the calendar released by the government annually.

As said by the officials, the government would come up with detailed information on filling up of the posts in police department by the end of this month. It is to be seen how many posts would be recruited in the first phase.
