In an interesting twist, the state election commission secretary has withdrawn the orders issued pertaining to reinstating Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as the election commissioner on Saturday night.

In an interesting twist, the state election commission secretary has withdrawn the orders issued pertaining to reinstating Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as the election commissioner on Saturday night. It is known fact that the election commission issued a circular on Friday stating that Ramesh Kumar has been reappointed as state election commissioner following the High Court's verdict on Friday.

However, with Advocate General Sriram asserted it as illegal the circular was cancelled stating that it has not yet got any orders from the government. "The High Court did not directly tell Ramesh Kumar to continue as SEC, but the circular had been released by Nimmagadda himself," AG Sriram said.

Earlier, Andhra Pradesh government has appointed Vani Mohan as Election Commission secretary and issued orders on the same on Saturday. Apart from election commission secretary, she will be served as the Commissioner of Cooperatives, the MD of the Andhra Pradesh Dairy Development Federation, and the Commissioner of the Department of Archeology and Museums.
