APSRTC to run 792 special buses to clear festival rush
The APSRTC Guntur Region will operate 792 special buses to various Shaiva Kshetras in the district on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri (Kotappakonda Festivities) for the convenience of the devotees.
Guntur: The APSRTC Guntur Region will operate 792 special buses to various Shaiva Kshetras in the district on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri (Kotappakonda Festivities) for the convenience of the devotees.
APSRTC Regional Manager (Guntur) Raghava Kumar reviewed the arrangements with depot mangers at Tikkana Conference Hall in the APSRTC Guntur regional office in Guntur city on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that 395 special buses will be operated from Chilakaluripet and Narasaraopet depots. He directed the officials to take steps to avoid inconvenience to the devotees and ply the buses to the last stop on the hillocks. He appealed to the passengers to avail the facility provided by the APSRTC.
He directed the depot managers to make necessary security arrangements at the bus stands in the back drop of heavy rush in the buses and bus stations. He informed the bus drivers have already gained experience on operating buses on the hillocks also.
