BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana said on Monday said that the BJP and Jana Sena would contest together in the upcoming local elections in Andhra Pradesh.

BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana said on Monday said that the BJP and Jana Sena would contest together in the upcoming local elections in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a meeting in Vijayanagaram in a private hotel, he clarified it.

Taking a dig at YCP leaders, Kanna alleged the government of proposing three capitals to make money under the real estate business. "People will suffer if the capital shifted from Amaravati," Kanna opined.

He added that the Center had allotted projects to the state. BJP state treasurer Pakpalapati Sanyasiraju, district presidents Reddy Pavani, Paidi Venugopal, state executive members Bhavir Reddy Sivaprasad Reddy, Panangapalli Ashok and leaders participated in the press meet in Vizianagaram.

In the third week of January, the BJP and the Jana Sena forged an alliance. The leaders of both parties have already announced that they are focussing on the 2024 elections. It remains to be seen, how far te alliance would make an impact in the coming local body elections.
